In the interest of pubic health, the Redford Township District Library is closed until further notice. Thank you for your understanding as we monitor the situation with COVID-19. Details on your library account and services are below:
Don’t worry about what you have out, all library items that were recently due have had their due date extended to May 1st. Redford Township District Library is fine free and any fees assessed for lost materials will be waived once items are returned.
Holds will remain on the shelf for pick-up and will be available once we re-open. You can continue to place holds online; however, items will not be pulled until we resume normal operation. We are asking that you please do not return any items to our drop box until we reopen.
Expired Cards / No Library Card
If your card expired in the last 6 months or if your card was going to expire in the next few months, the expiration date has been moved forward. If you do not have a library card, you can get access to a free trial of Hoopla by signing up and selecting that you do not currently have a library card. Once the library resumes normal operation, applying for a library card will provide access to the full service and monthly downloads. You may, also, access some of our temporary collections without a library card. You can find those on our Digital Collections page.
In an effort to continue to provide access to great content while we are closed, we’ve doubled the number of items you can download each month through Hoopla (from 5 items to 10). In addition, we’ve ordered additional Overdrive titles to help reduce hold lists and provide new content. You can access books, movies, music, magazines, and more via our Digital Collections page.
We’ll continue to be available via our contact us form throughout the closure.
