Library Closure Information

In the interest of pubic health, the Redford Township District Library is closed until further notice. Thank you for your understanding as we monitor the situation with COVID-19. Details on your library account and services are below:

Due Dates

Don’t worry about what you have out, all library items that were recently due have had their due date extended to mid June. Redford Township District Library is fine free and any fees assessed for lost materials will be waived once items are returned.

Holds will remain on the shelf for pick-up and will be available once we re-open. You can continue to place holds online; however, items will not be pulled until we resume normal operation.  We are asking that you please do not return any items to our drop box until we reopen.

Expired Cards / No Library Card

Library card expiration dates has been moved forward to at least September.  If you do not have a library card, you can apply for one online to access our Digital Collections.

Digital Services

In an effort to continue to provide access to great content while we are closed, we’ve doubled the number of items you can download each month through Hoopla (from 5 items to 10). In addition, we’ve ordered additional Overdrive titles to help reduce hold lists and provide new content. You can access books, movies, music, magazines, and more via our Digital Collections page.

We’ll continue to be available via our contact us form throughout the closure.
