The Redford Township District Library offers free bicycle rentals with its new bicycle lending program. We currently have one adult tricycle, and it will be available for check out from May 1 to Oct. 31.
The adult tricycle comes with a basket, a bike lock and key, and a helmet. Although Michigan law doesn’t require bicyclists to wear a helmet, the library strongly recommends patrons wear one.
It can be checked out by anyone age 18 or older with a library card from RTDL or a partner library. By checking out a bike, you are acknowledging financial responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged equipment.
Bikes are available for a one-day check out and due back one hour before closing.
