The library offers book groups for all ages. We believe book groups are a great way to meet new people, read interesting books, and, of course, talk about those books! Currently, RTDL offers the following book groups:
123 Book Group
For children in grades 1-3 who love to read and would like to share stories, crafts, and activities! Meets September through April on the last Monday of the month from 6:30-7:30 p.m. No meeting in December. Registration is required.
Redford Readers Family Book Group
For parents and kids in grades 4-7. Families can read or listen to the book together and meet to discuss the book with other families. Meets September through April on the second Tuesday of the month from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Space is limited.
Graphic Novel Squad
For Grades 4-6. Whether you’ve never read a graphic novel before or only read graphic novels, this book club is for you. Meets September through April on the first Monday of the month from 6:30-7:30 p.m. September meeting is the second Monday of the month. No meeting in December.
Choose-Your-Own-Book Club
For teens 12-18. Each month, teens will read a book of their choice that fits the genre of the month and get together to share what they liked, what they didn’t like, common tropes, similar stories, and more! Meets 1 Wednesday a month, from 4-5pm.
Redford Recreational Readers
Adult book discussion group. Meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 7:00-8:00 p.m. See the adult reference desk if you need a copy of the book. No registration required.
Future Reads Book Discussion Group
Adult book discussion group. Meets on the third Thursday of the month from 6:30-7:30 p.m. See the adult reference desk if you need a copy of the book. Registration is required.
