Contains The Redford Observer (1955-2017); The Township News (1963-1968);  The Redford Township News (1968-1971); The Suburban News (1971-1990); The Township North End News (1967-1968); Redford Township High School Yearbooks; Polks Directory of Redford, Brightmoor, and Rosedale Park (1925); Death Records filed in the Redford Township Clerk's Office (August 1897 - April 1952); and miscellaneous historical documents.
  • Redford Township Historical Commission
    The Redford Township Historical Commission is located at 12895 Berwyn, Redford, MI 48239 (south of I-96 Service Drive, west of  Beech Daly beside the Thurston High School baseball field). They are open the first and third Saturdays of the month, from 12 to 3 pm. The Historical Commission may be reached at (313) 387-2577.

    The Library of Congress has placed online nearly 25,000 Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps, which depict the structure and use of buildings in U.S. cities and towns. Maps will be added monthly until 2020, for a total of approximately 500,000.
