  • I’ve filled out all my information twice now, gotten through to the submission page where it tells me there’s an error (it looks like the second section), and right before I can click “go back and fix,” the screen changes to “Submission Successful” or something similar. I haven’t received an email so I’m assuming the submission was not successful? If you could let me know either way I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

    1. Derek – We received your submission last night and our circulation team sent out the card information to your email. Feel free to let us know if thee is anything else we can do.

  • I’ve tried to upload a driver’s license pic several times. Both the .pdf and .jpg format were rejected.

    1. Catherine – JPG format should work. After you select the image file, you will need to select “please upload image” before you hit next. If you are still unable to get past that section, feel free to use the contact us page on our website to send us a note. We can work with you via email to get you a card.

  • Did you get my email messages right before Labor Day I did get your email messages. How much is the gift card for Amazon gift card also. Also if they still need an I.D. With their picture on it

    1. Hi Lorna! If you sign up for a library card during the month of September you will be entered into a drawing to win a $50.00 gift card. If you have additional questions please give us a call at (313) 531-5960.

  • I received my library card in the mail, but I wanted to download an audiobook and it’s asking for a pin#, How do obtain a pin/password? I don’t see the option do this online.

    1. Hi Geraldine! Your pin is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number. If that doesn’t work, give us a call at (313) 531-5960 and we can reset it for you. Thanks!

    1. Absolutley! If you have any questions, you can call (313) 531-5960, and we can provide assistance.

  • HI, I’m trying to apply for a library card for an elderly friend. The form is asking for her email address. She doesn’t have a computer, so no email. The form online says required. Can you tell me how to get her a library card? I do not want to use my email address.

    1. Hi Lori!

Thanks for your question. To complete the library card sign-up form online, we do require an email address. This helps us send you important information about your library card, like your PIN and account details.

However, if they are able to come to the library in person, we’d be happy to sign them up for a card without needing an email address. If you have any other questions, we’d be happy to help. Feel free to give us a call at 313-531-5960.
