Introducing Word Collectors Club!
Help develop the skills necessary for reading success by joining the Word Collectors Club! WCC is an early literacy 100 book reading challenge for kids & their caregivers. This challenge is designed for kindergarten and younger, but no one is too old to hear a good story! Complete the challenge at your own pace. All 100 books are housed in the youth department near the braille collection.
How to Participate
- Pick up your 100 book reading log from the youth reference desk.
- Begin reading at your own pace! Track the books you’ve read on your log or online at Readsquared.com
- The Word Collectors Club collection can be found on the green wall next to the new books in the youth department. The spines have yellow tape on them.
- All 100 books on the log can be found in this collection (multiple copies of each).
After reading all 100 books in the Word Collectors Club collection, visit the youth reference desk to celebrate! You can have your photo taken for our Word Collectors Club display, a sticker, and a free book to take home and keep!
