
The Friends of the Redford Township District Library is a nonprofit group of volunteers who support and promote the library’s resources and services. They work to bring more Redford residents into the library through programs, events, and community outreach, and they help raise funds through regular used book sales.

The new Friends of the Library bookstore is open! Located conveniently on the first floor, just turn right as you enter the library. The store is open during library business hours. Purchases can be made in the store or at the circulation desk.

We’re Looking for Volunteers!
The Friends of the Library are looking for volunteers to help in our Book Shop on Wednesdays! We’re seeking book lovers who can commit to a 2–4 hour shift and enjoy being part of a community-focused team.
Volunteer responsibilities include:
📚 Cleaning and sorting donated books
🗂️ Organizing and stocking items in the Book Shop
📦 Light lifting and standing as needed
