The library is now offering a homebound delivery service for patrons who cannot come to the library, because of mobility, health, or disability barriers. Print (regular and large print), Audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs are available and deliveries will be made once per month. Patrons must reside in Redford Township to receive this service.

June 21 – September 3rd, 2022

Adult Summer Reading 2022

Adult Summer Reading will begin on Tuesday, June 21. Participants can pick up a program packet at the Adult Reference desk. Readers can submit an entry form for each book that they complete between June 21 and September 3. There will be weekly prize drawings.

Book/ Audiobook reviews can be submitted online or in-person at the Adult Reference desk.

 

Teen Summer Reading 2022

The Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program will kick off for teens on June 21st. Teens will be asked to complete book reviews, and in return, they will receive a raffle ticket. The raffle ticket will be entered into in a drawing for some great prizes, including 2 tickets to Broadway Detroit!

 

Youth Summer Reading 2022

Make this a summer to remember by participating in the RTDL Summer Reading Program! This summer will be filled with exciting events, programs, and prizes! Pick up a packet at the Youth Reference Desk beginning June 21st.

How does it work?

    1. Read for 30 minutes at a time.
    2. Color in one circle for every 30 minutes of reading.
    3. Come to the library when you have 10 circles colored in to have your photo taken for our Wall of Fame and receive a ticket for our GRAND PRIZE drawing!
    4. Keep reading! You can earn as many tickets as you like.

Have your grown-up check in with RTDL on social media to share what you’ve been doing! Save your reading log to show your teacher when you go back to school.

Drive-up Service Window

Construction of our drive-thru is complete and our service window and book drop are now open! The service window provides easy access to pick up your materials on hold and book drop allows you to return any items that you may have.

The drive-thru service window and book return is located off of Garfield Rd.

Book Drop: Open 24/7

Service Window:

Monday-Thursday 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Friday & Saturday 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Sunday 12:00 – 4:00 PM (Labor Day – Memorial Day)
